About Hilary Reese & The Dyslexia Life
Our Mission
Our mission is to empower parents by helping them navigate the complex resources and educational support available for their children with dyslexia by providing dyslexia resources. We provide tailored guidance to ensure that each child receives the most effective dyslexia help and resources for their dyslexic child. Our comprehensive approach includes everything from helping parents understand their rights under the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) to assisting in developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to their child’s needs. We create thriving dyslexic children in schools around the globe by providing dyslexia suport. We provide support for public school students and military students.
Our History
Established in 2019 by Hilary Reese, The Dyslexia Life has committed over five years to supporting dyslexic students in reaching their goals through valuable resources. Our history showcases successful assistance for those with dyslexia. We offer dyslexia help and support to students in public, private, and Department of War Education Agency aka DoDEA/DoWEA schools around the globe, including dyslexia resources, IEP consultation, and tailored assistance.

Meet Hilary Dyslexia Advocacate | Military Spouse |I EP Coach
Hilary Reese is a special education advocate, IEP coach, and the founder of The Dyslexia Life. A Coast Guard spouse for 12 years and a member of the military community since 2000, she brings both legal expertise and lived experience to every family she serves. She holds a BSBA in Finance from the University of Denver, a graduate-level paralegal degree from the University of San Diego, and a Special Education Law Certificate from USD.
Hilary's passion for this work is personal. Her own child — who has severe dyslexia and other learning disabilities — is now a thriving college student at Auburn University. That journey from confusion and frustration to confidence and advocacy is exactly what she helps other parents navigate every day.
She serves as the Georgia Parent Volunteer for Decoding Dyslexia Military and as Military Liaison for Decoding Dyslexia Georgia, and she is a recognized voice in dyslexia advocacy across the state and beyond.
Through The Dyslexia Life, Hilary provides special education advocacy, IEP coaching, and digital resources for parents who are ready to stop feeling overwhelmed and start getting results for their child.
